"Cookies"

When you visit our web site, your web browser will download "cookies". "Cookies" are small text files that are exchanged between your web browser and our web site and used to enable the site work optimally. Below is an overview of "cookies" that are used in our web site.

As a web user, you can choose to reject storing and use of "cookies". We recommend the National Communications Authority's web site nettvett.no for a description of how you can accept or reject "cookies". (These web pages are in Norwegian, only.) A possible other source of information is available from Google (https://policies.google.com/technologies/managing), but many other similar descriptions exist on other web site (search for "managing cookies" on your favorite search provider).

HTTPS and security

Our web site is covered by encryption with https. If you want to make sure that a web page is encrypted, the address field in your web browser will display https instead of just http. Most web browsers will also display a pad lock icon.

The aim of encryption is to ensure secure data communication between server (our web site) and client (your computer/device). This includes a digital certificate that confirms that the web site and its sender are real.

CoreTrek AS provides the publishing tool CorePublish for our web site and provides technical development, operation and maintenance. Corepublish uses the following "cookies":

  • In order to make the publishing solution work: The cooke called CorePublishSession. This is a "session cookie" that is removed from your computer when the user closes the web browser. This "cookie" has a reference ID to a session file on the web server. The session file will, for anonymous users, include non-personal data but may in some web solutions temporarily store form data or search text between web page displays. The session file is automatically deleted no later than 15 minutes after the user has closed his/her web browser or become inactive, and is therefore not stored permanently. Only system administrators can access the session files.
  • In order to identify what type of device and web browser you are using: The cookie called ctcdk. The cookie has a life time of one week and enables our web site to display properly on you device (whether it's a PC, a cell phone or a tablet, etc.). This "cookie" does not containt personal data.

Statistics and logging

When you visit our web page, information will be stored in a statistics database. Information about pages visited are stored in a raw data table. No personal data are stored. All data in the raw data table are deleted after 2 days and the remaining statistics include only accumulation of data that can not be used to identify visitors.

We store "user agent", IP address and which page(s) the visitor has view in the web server logs. These logs are used only for troubleshooting and security and no data are extracted or used from these logs. The logs are deleted after a specified amount of time (normally 4 weeks). Only web server administrators (for operation of the web servers) have access to the logs.

If you do not want to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can use a web browser extension to block the tracking.

Hvis du ikke ønsker å bli sporet av Google Analytics, kan du benytte et nettlesertillegg til å blokkere sporingen, for example: Google Analytics' Opt-out Browser Add-on.
