Unitech Power Systems has a long history of providing consultancy services in the energy market, centred on offshore and industrial power systems. We provide a wide range of specialized services, ranging from detailed system design and analysis to on-site root fault analysis and support. We partake in several hundred projects annually, performing specialized assignments for engineering companies and other clients in the energy sector. Our clients include TSOs and DSOs, industrial plants, rig owners and operators, and other electrical power system owners and operators, onshore and offshore. Our team uniquely combines equipment know-how with system-level understanding, enabling us to provide practical and technically sound recommendations tailored for the project.


Our services

Dependent on our clients’ need, we offer power system design, verification, and review services. In early project phases, we help shape and design the power system. In later project phases when system concepts and designs are more mature, we provide independent verification studies and advisory to improve system robustness. Throughout projects, we also perform holistic reviews, stepping back to assess overall system functionality, operability, and safety. We are invested in our clients’ projects and always tailor our services to ensure our efforts are best placed to maximise project value.


What we deliver 

Power system analyses are an essential part of electrical power system design. We perform calculations and simulations to verify that the electrical system, including the system components, are correctly specified for the intended operation. Typical scopes include load flow, short-circuit and fault analyses, protection coordination, harmonics and power quality, dynamic and transient behaviour, and switching overvoltages/insulation coordination, often complemented with cable, control system, power electronic, and electrical safety assessments.


Using calculations and measurements as basis

Our work is anchored in calculations, analysis, and measurements. We use DIgSILENT PowerFactory as our primary software and have long experience with Paladin DesignBase, PSCAD/EMTP, Flux 2D, ETAP, Matlab/Simulink, and FebDok. We are committed to performing high-quality and efficient analysis and continuously develop automation and enhancement scripts. When needed, we perform on-site measurements to validate and tune the calculation models.
