At the turn of the year 2000, it was decided that the ownership structure of Unitech Holding would be changed. Inge Bent Kindem, Arild Larsen and Bjørn Bungum owned about 40% of the shares in Unitech Holding, and it was decided that these shareholders would take over Unitech Power Systems AS. The other shareholders took over Unitech Engineering A/S, which at that time was a relatively large company specialising in the leasing of technical personnel across all disciplines.

On 12 April 2000, the company Kindem & Co. AS was demerged from Unitech Holding and became the owner of all the shares in Unitech Power Systems AS. Unitech Power Systems then had eight employees who moved to Forusbeen 78 in Stavanger.
