Measurements
Unitech Power Systems AS has over many years developed knowledge and built up equipment capacity to carry out a variety of electrical measurements. We have the following types of measurement equipment:
- Transient recorders. We can use one recorder for single snapshots or connect several recorders if a large channel capacity is required.
- Power Quality nodes and harmonic analysers.
- A variety of clamp on and current probes for main power cables and large currents down to control circuitry.
- Voltage probes.
- Laptops for field use with various software for result analyzing and treatment, including self developed software for special functions.
- Temperature measurement equipment.
Typical measurements carried out:
- Starting of large electrical motors during commissioning or in operation
Energising of large power transformers.
- Measurement of harmonic distortion, single surveys ore measurement logging over longer periods of time.
- Power quality measurement surveys looking into voltage variations, power factor conditions, etc.
- Use of transient recorders over defined periods of time to capture transient overvoltages or similar problems.
