The system is offered in 50, 100, 300, 500, 1000, 2000 and in unlimited BUS versions.
The packages and program combinations are offered as Single machine licenses, SITE licenses and Corporate Licenses as University versions, Commercial versions and Safety Related versions.
Single machine licenses and Corporate Licenses can be installed as single machine users or as Floating Licenses or in any combination of this. SITE licenses are 5-users floating licenses connected to one common server.
Common for all these combinations is that the EDSA software is delivered on CD’s, which has to be installed on each user PC/Workstation, directly from the CD or distributed via the computer network. Automatically distribution of the installation via the network requires that all specifications about minimum Software/hardware requirements, administrator rights, sharing of tool menus, turning off virus programs, etc are implemented into the installation procedure.
Before installation, you and your IT department have to carefully read through the latest installation manual following the package. It is very important to note that there are several requirements that have to be fulfilled and accepted prior installation in order to avoid poor installation and unstable operation. The manuals also include detailed information about “latest known issues”, tutorials and verification and sample files for testing the installation. Technical manuals and are delivered on CD in PDF file format.
A Software key (License Manager system-based on FlexLM License Management system) locks the license to each PC for a single machine installation. As floating licenses, the license manager have to be installed on a Windows NT or Windows 2000 workstation or server for manage the number of simultaneous users. TCP/IP is required.
